REPORT ANTISEMITISM at UCLA

Our Mission

The Jewish Faculty Resilience Group (JFRG) is a non-partisan coalition of Jewish and allied faculty, researchers, and staff committed to combating antisemitism, defending academic freedom, and building Jewish resilience in higher education.

We embrace the IHRA definition of antisemitism and its examples and proudly defend Zionism as a movement of hope, freedom, and belonging—rooted in coexistence, not exclusion. We believe in peace and coexistence, mourning the suffering and loss of innocent civilians, including both Israelis and Palestinians.

Through our S.A.I.D. Pledge, we uphold civil discourse, nonviolence, and the rule of law.

What We Do:

  • Combat Antisemitism: Effectively identify and counter antisemitism in higher education.

  • Affirm Zionism as the Jewish people's right to self-determination and a sovereign country in their biblical and national place of origin.

  • Track and Expose Hate: Our Antisemitism Incident Reports (AIR) system collects and documents campus incidents with accuracy and care—empowering faculty, staff, and students to respond with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

  • Engage University Leadership: We advocate for meaningful reforms and hold decision-makers accountable when they fail to act.

  • Support Targeted Faculty: We provide a real community and a safe, confidential space for peer support, along with referrals to legal and advocacy resources. No one should have to navigate antisemitism or administrative inaction alone.

  • Build Community Strength and Solidarity: We foster emotional resilience among faculty and staff through healing circles, peer mentorship, and community gatherings. By strengthening our community, we are better equipped to support Jewish and Israeli students facing hostility and isolation.

  • Lead with Vision: We represent our members with dignity and clarity by:

  • Speaking out publicly at university hearings,

  • Documenting hate at general campuses and with professional schools,

  • Meeting with university leadership

  • Working with Congressional investigators and legal support

  • Leading a faculty mission to Israel

  • Countering BDS and other antisemitic narratives, and

  • Building coalitions statewide to protect Jewish life in academia.

  • Stand for Values: Our movement is rooted in the S.A.I.D. Pledge—a commitment to:

  • Academic freedom

  • Civil discourse

  • Nonviolence

  • The rule of law

JFRG is not Just an Organization.
